Abstract
A field experiment involving A. tortilis alone and in combination with three prominent fodder crops of arid Rajasthan viz. Cowpea, Guar and Bajra was carried out at Jobner. Sole fodder crops of Cowpea, Guar and Bajra were also taken to work out relative yield and economic returns. Results show that growing of fodder crops in between the rows of A. tortilis, resulted in additional attractive returns of Rs. 1756-2106 per hectare in between stumps left for coppicing. There was 89.33 per cent sprout in stumps of A. tortilis.
